		<description>&lt;p&gt;With so many states mandating RPS (Renewable Power Standards) of 10%, 20%, or even more, some kind of smart metering is going to be necessary to allow for additional sheddable loads.  Since the renewable energy components are mostly intermittent, when they exceed the reserve capacity of the conventional sources, the grid in that area becomes UNSTABLE.  Not a good thing.......&lt;/p&gt;
