Jeff,

I'm not sure I'd disagree with much of what you said. Ethanol is evolving as a biofuel, but when someone who won the Nobel for his study of greenhouse gases says it can be more harmful than gasoline we should take notice. My point was that there is a danger in overreacting, that instead of looking at this and saying all ethanol is bad, we should start focusing more on the right kinds of ethanol.

Look, Ethanol is not perfect, but it is the start of the journey away from our addiction to gasoline powered engines. It will evolve over the comming years. In the mean time the logistics infrastructure, delivery points and consumer acceptance will take hold and avail itself to the next evolutionary production process. Weather it’s bugs that eat C02 and poop alcohol or cellulistic technology or whatever……….

There is a world political impact here as well. Wouldnt it be great if China and France had to gard the Arab Shipping channels while we get oil from Canada and the Gulf of Mexico, Coal from our own tera firma, re energize Nuclear Power and grow the rest.

Personally, I don’t care if we power cars with photons, electrons, ethanol (E85 or higher) or compressed air……anything but gasoline. I'LL SAY IT AGAIN......... Anything but gasoline.
