Ecocity by the Bay: We’ll See You There

ecocity2008.jpgWhen we heard that the seventh annual Ecocity World Summit was being held in our own San Francisco, we knew we had to get involved somehow. The 5-day event, which has previously taken place in in India, China, Brazil and Australia, takes a sweeping look at the projects, researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs that are working on making our cities and communities more sustainable.

We’re happy to announce that we are a media sponsor of the event and we’ll be digging into all the innovations we find on the show floor. We’re particularly excited about the first two days which are the “Academic & Talent Scouting Sessions,” co-sponsored by the University of California at Berkeley Extension, where we hope to meet all those young researchers presenting their forward-thinking ideas. You should check it out, and of course check out our coverage of the event too. The conference is April 22 to 26 in San Francisco, check it out.

  • Green energy is definitely the best solution in most cases. Technology like solar energy, wind power, fuel cells, zaps electric vehicles, EV hybrids, etc have come so far recently. Green energy even costs way less than oil and gas in many cases.
