Another recent article put things into a little better perspective.

“And the price of the paper pulp to produce popcorn tubs has jumped 40% in the past 36 months, making the tub more expensive than the corn inside it.”

And yet we are blaming ethanol and not the paper industry for higher popcorn prices. Curious.

If you're as frugal as I am, you wait for the movie to show up in your living room in Hi-Def. The bonus is - I make my own fresh-on-the-spot garlic popcorn.

Save on the cost of driving to a theatre, as well.
