He keeps hinting that his electric cars will somehow annihilate our dependence on oil imports. Nothing is further from the truth; the batteries have to be charged, with electricity coming from conventional power plants! A controller and a couple of batteries -the motors don't care what kind- can be thrown into the trunk.</p></li> </ol> <p>When your batteries run out, 10 miles, 50 miles, who cares, you flip a switch and change to a different fuel.
