If you think battery cost is going to be a major issue for Aptera, how come it become a solved problem in plug-in hybrid's case?

I notice that Aptera is avoiding US crash safety requirements by being designed with three wheels, classifying the "car" as a motorcycle, mostly exempt for safety concerns. I would like to question Google's ability to make rational decisions if they were aware of this and still put money into this rolling coffin?
Google is not known for having any ethics and this
would seem to be one more instance.
I predict that it will take about 6 months after these battery-only "can't do" vehicles show uo on the streets before the public gets wise to the fact that 1) they can't take you on trips, and 2) you can't own just one car if one of them is a battery-only and 3) the battery costs will make $4 gasoline look like a bargain. A simplemimded non-solution to a problem that plug-in hybrids have already solved. Onyl the ignorant think that a battery-only fleet pf private vehicles will either 1) avoid all pretroleum based fuels
2) do any better than a plug-in with a 40 mile driving range at either avoiding crude or avoiding emissions. It won't. It actually may do worse.
