Please have a look at the two Swedish companies Cell Impact (www.cellimpact.com) and Impact Coatings (www.impactcoatings.se).
They are working together on flow plates for fuel cells and will out-perform their competitors with new cost efficient, flexible and high volume solutions.

For the most recent presentation of Cell Impact that I’ve found : https://www.fondsfinans.no/ff/public/nyhetsbrev/Presentations/Morphic.pdf

Impact Coatings has developed a totally new way to coat the flow plates with PVD. As of today; they can offer anticorrosive coatings in gold (thinner and more compact layers than competitors) and ceramic coatings to 1/10 of the traditional cost.
In the relatively near future they will also offer coatings in a new version of Maxphase for flow plates.

Maxphase is used to replace gold on electrical contacts.
The most recent deal: a global player on the mobile telephone market has recently placed an order on two coating systems (Reelcoaters) in order to replace gold on a number of applications/contacts in one volume-product. The systems are to be delivered to the client in the beginning of 2009.

Please read more on the homepages in order to learn more and don’t hesitate to contact the companies for an interview or more information!
