West Coast Green Photos: Container Home, Google Pedal Power & Integrity Block

The best part of the annual West Coast Green sustainable building conference is walking the floor and checking out all the innovations — the smart, the novel and the just “out there” ideas. Here’s some sites we saw as we cruised around.

Shipping Container Home: SG Block’s Harbinger House, designed by Lawrence Group, couldn’t be missed, as it was set smack in the middle of the show floor. The two-story 1,700-square-foot home is made of reused shipping containers.

Google Pedal Power: Remember the water-filtering bike that could help solve water quality issues in the developing world? It was at the show and looked quite nifty.

Get Yer Greener Concrete Block: We profiled startup Integrity Block for one of our companies to watch at the Always On GoingGreen show. But for the West Coast Green conference, the company announced that it is now officially selling its landscape blocks. Here’s what they look like:
