Great post. Getting these credits extended is vital - "policy certainty" is vital to VCs and lenders who will investing in scaling the key technologies needed to rebuild our energy infrastructure.

We also need to push for "policy certainty" in the form of nationwide initiatives to ramp up renewable energy requirements, driving energy companies to invest in implementing these technologies. We need leaders who will focus not just on the next election cycle, but who will have the courage to put in place long-term policies that will produce lasting change.

I see renewable energy not just as a component of economic recovery, but as a primary driver. It capitalizes on American innovation, which is one of our most vital assets, and will provide a dual return in terms of an improved economy AND an improved environment.
