Consider that there are already 1,022 automobiles in the United States for every 1,000 people. Yep, that's 300 million autos! In 2008 an additional 14 million were added to the pile.</p> <p>Now "what if" each of these cars were electric? How many batteries would that be? How long do they last? What do you do with all those old batteries? Think CRT's in landfills!</p> <p>And where does the power come to charge all those batteries? Coal? Hydro? Wind?
