Creating a Green Collar Economy?

This will be a true test for Americans (perhaps a final exam?). Questions:

Are we yet willing to sacrifice short term economic growth for long term sustainability?

Can we afford to make the right choice?

What does a green collar workforce look like?

Something tells me that many of these green dollars will find their way over to plenty of non-green sectors such as banking and Wall Street finance, automotive and insurance giants.

With such an immediate urgency to solve today's problems, longer term development and R&D may get swept under the rug all too easily.
