There is a growing buzz about a new ultracapacitor electrode technology that looks to be 10-20 times better than Maxwell and Ness. It uses a simple activated carbon consolidation process that produces high surface area electrodes. I saw this on several sites, including ultracapacitors.org and one about cheap energy and fuel on March 11.

Is this the one we have been looking for. It could be a "sleeper".

We can generate all the CLEAN, CHEAP ENERGY we need - Check this: You can direct all your Income tax dollars into SOLAR ENERGY equipment - and put them to work for you - cleaning environment, creating jobs here, less foreign dependence - instead of sending them to the IRS & the Bankers with a 100% Tax Credit: tnns.org/energy-credit
OH! You're my new favorite blogger fyi

I think many of these VC companies need to kind of be a "hybrid" model themselves when it comes to how they invest and what type of support they give. I have seen over and over companies who may have a great idea but as far as management of the product it is terrible because they just don't have the knowledge marketing wise to be able to sell it to the general public. I think if VC's provided more support in consulting on what they think would work and provide more after-investment support that things might take off for a few companies because the failure rate of these companies now who receive seed funding is not sustainable.
